Pali Momi Medical Center is one of only three adult trauma centers on the island of Oahu and the only Level III Trauma Center serving Central, West, and parts of North Oahu. This means we’re able to provide life-saving care sooner for those in our communities who are suffering from major traumatic injuries.
The trauma center designation means we have a demonstrated ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients. Our dedicated trauma team is comprised of ER nurses, physicians and surgeons with specialized training and access to specialty equipment, so they are better prepared to care for you and your loved ones if you are severely injured. We have processes in place so that our team is ready to meet trauma patients upon arrival in the Emergency Department and immediately provide assessment and care.
Our teams also are actively involved in injury prevention activities and outreach programs aimed at decreasing the frequency and impacts of trauma while working to empower and educate the people of our communities.
